TREVOR CHISMAN ITEC VTCT MIPTI
Hi, my name is Trevor and welcome to my massage website, I hope you've found the site interesting and informative so far.
The website includes lots of information about massage and specific areas of treatment that interest me, hopefully it will answer many of your massage related questions. I'm constantly updating and adding to the site so do check back regularly, if you can't find the information you're looking for please do get in touch and I will do my best to answer your questions.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of this job is the great mix of people from all walks of life that I have the opportunity to work with on a daily basis. I continue to work with a wide range of clients, including professional and amateur athletes, dancers, actors, students, office workers and business professionals. So if you are in Glasgow and are looking for a professional massage then please do book yourself an appointment.

Approach
I don't believe in a 'one size fits all' approach to massage which is why you won't find any set sequences or massage menus to select from. I'm qualified in many different massage styles and techniques and use these to create a unique integrated massage treatment for you, each treatment is tailored to your individual needs and requirements that day.
My objective is always to make each treament as effective as possible to ease any pain and discomfort you might be experiencing, to improve your flexability and soft tissue health and leave you with a deep sense of relaxation and well being.
Training
I first trained in Holistic Massage, Anatomy and Physiology with ITEC at The Beaumont College of Natural Medicine in 1993 becoming a fully qualified body massage therapist.
In 2006, I further trained and qualified in Sports Massage Therapy with VTCT at St Mary's University College, Twickenham, a recognised centre of sporting excellence and education.
I've attended many additional courses and workshops to further my knowledge and skills in specific areas of treatment and have certificates in Deep Tissue Techniques, MET (Muscle Energy Techniques), Soft Tissue Release, Myofascial Release Techniques and Trigger Point Treatment.
I've studied Kinetic Sports Massage with Joel Tull, an international sports massage therapist working with professional athletes around the World.
I hold a current Emergency First Aid certificate issued by St Andrews First Aid and am also a fully qualified "free weights" fitness instructor qualifying with NABBA (National Amateur Body Building Association) in 1990.
Professional membership
I am registered with the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) (Registration 00238-B10). I have been a member of IPTI (Independant Professional Therapists International) (Membership No' 6687) since 1993, in 2009 I also joined SMTO (Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation) (Membership No' 1977) and I'm fully insured to practice massage therapy with Balens Insurance.
